The UN has announced that Green Technologies have attracted more investment than Gas & Coal electric power.
Wind & Solar are the major attractors of the US140b which tops US110b for Gas & Coal development.
Developing nations are fast outgrowing the West in their drive for renewable alternatives - China & India are leading the charge to move away from dependence on fossil fuels.
Executive Director of the UN's Environment Programme - Achim Steiner, said "There have been many milestones reached in recent years, but this report suggests renewable energy has now reached a tipping point where it is as important – if not more important – in the global energy mix than fossil fuels,"
It was very encouraging that a variety of new renewable sectors were attracting capital, while different geographical areas such as Kenya and Angola were entering the field, he added.
There are many things we can all do to save our environment - we all know what to do.
We all need to do it.
