Since his earliest days in the U.S. Congress he has been a leading advocate for confronting the threat of global warming.
He led the Clinton-Gore Administration's efforts to protect the environment in a way that also strengthens the economy.
His efforts are continuing through politics and the current administration and he heartily supports the efforts of Barack Obama and his energy / conversation plans.
